Nice! I have an old mb-5. It's one of my favorite rides out of all my bikes. I like the lower grade Bridgestone mbs because I don't worry about what I put them through. They seem bomb proof and easy to modify. Makes such a great commuter or camping bike.

The MB-6 was originally a 26" bike, one of the previous owners decided he really really wanted a 700c bike. So he brazed on the extra set and the top tube shifting. I did not do this. I got the bike from a Recycle your cycle event our club was doing. It was going to go into the trash bin. A good friend made me take it. Good thing to. I love.

I don't recall the Prestige tubed models going further down than the MB-2 (only three main tubes on it, full Prestige on the MB-1). It had Ritchey Logic tubing but that is not on par with Prestige, only Ritchey Logic Prestige.

A lot of the hype is because the Rivendell Bikes founder was working for Bridgestone USA at the time and had a big part in designing the frames. The geometry is excellent, and while the more sought after models are higher in the product line (MB-6 is the lowest in the line) the geometry was the same for every model.

I've been offered a Bridgestone MB-6 bike from a local seller. The bike feels pretty good (though I haven't tested it off-road, which I don't plan to do too much of anyway). It is old but in great shape and comes with a blackburn rack, pannier bag, and a lock. My only concern with the bike is that it doesn't have a front-suspension shock.
