Since World War II Kings Weston House has been a school, a college and a police training centre before becoming a conference centre and wedding venue in 2000. The park is now owned by Bristol City Council and the National Trust. The Kings Weston Action Group (KWAG) actively champions the historic estate and works to conserve it.

The current Kings Weston House was built between 1710 and 1723 on the site of an Elizabethan manor house. Its colourful history has included becoming a hospital for soldiers wounded during the First World War, and as a training centre for the CID in the 1970s. Situated high up on a hill overlooking the Severn Estuary and Avonmouth, the 28 acres.
