The quaint Old Town of Piran, Slovenia is my favorite and is also an extremely popular destination for local Slovenians and vacationing Italians during the warm summer months. Piran is a vibrant town with colorful Venetian architecture, a bustling harbor, delicious seafood and panoramic viewpoints.

The old town of Piran set snugly on its 'V' shape peninsula and surrounded by crystal-clear blue water looks so incredibly stunning. Looking the other way is Strunjan and Italy. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Trieste and even the Italian Alps are plainly visible.
