The Opel Commodore is an executive car ( E-segment) produced by Opel from 1967 to 1982. It is the six-cylinder variant of the Rekord with styling differences. The Commodore nameplate was used by Opel from 1967 to 1982. However, its nameplate /lineage continued until 2020 with the Australian Holden Commodore. [1]

Selling my 1968 Opel Commodore A Coupe, 2.5l 6 cylinder with dual carbs. Complete car, un-restored, never wrecked, 4 speed manual on the floor. Very rare - less than 1500 were built in the five years they offered it from 1967 to 1971. Has original wheels and a new set of 14" tires. This is the only one on the East Coast, and within the last ten.

Effectively an upmarket Opel Rekord C but with 6-cylinder engines, the Commodore A came in 2 and 4-door saloon and 2-door coupé forms - the coupé is particularly imposing, with a long fastback that makes it look not unlike a smaller Dodge Charger (not a bad thing), especially in profile - and with 2.2 and 2.5-litre engines to start with.
